Alex Kabbourg

I am currently a junior at Arizona State University pursuing a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering. I also work two part-time jobs. By day, I am a teaching assistant for ASU's Civil Engineering department. By night, I am a lifeguard.

Last year, I served as the ASCE Mix Design Concrete Canoe Captain, where I worked with my team to design and test suitable concrete mixes and construct the mold and structural elements for a racing canoe. Acting in this position taught me to adapt quickly to a task, develop solutions to problems, and work as part of a team.

Prior to this, I worked at a Spanish tutor, a math tutor, and a peer mentor. These positions allowed me to develop my communication, mediation, and leadership skills.
